This powerful short film/documentary, funded by Telus Media, explores the profound journey of Eritrean immigrants as they start new lives in Canada. Shot in Drumheller, AB, the landscape was meticulously chosen to replicate the deserts of Eritrea, adding an authentic visual layer to the story. Using the SLR Magic Anamorphot lens on the Blackmagic 12K, we captured the narrative with cinematic depth and clarity. Working alongside the incredibly talented director Arjan Gill was a truly rewarding experience, as his vision and passion for this project brought every frame to life. I'm proud to have been part of a team that shines a light on the resilience and hope of those forging new paths in unfamiliar lands.
